Bali, known as the Island of the Gods, is famous for its picturesque scenery and renowned for its diverse landscape, warm hospitality, spiritual heritage and mouth-watering cuisines. This island has become a sought-after destination for travellers worldwide who look to visit tourist destinations, seek relaxation, or want some sort of adventure. Whether it’s the lush green jungle and enchanting blue beaches to its breathtaking waterfalls and serene rice terraces, Bali offers something for everyone and promises an unforgettable experience.
Apart from the mind-blowing backdrop, Bali provides a variety of activities that cater to different interests and adventure levels. We enjoyed some of the activities that the place had to offer and here is a list of FIVE To-Do activities that you can try. We did, and we loved it thoroughly.
1. Scuba Diving and Snorkeling

Getting in water is always exciting, but experiencing the same thing in the sea is a thriller, especially when it comes to Snorkeling or Scuba Diving. Even though we had experienced Snorkeling and Scuba diving in other countries, we could not resist ourselves from going for it once again in Gili Islands, Indonesia. Bali’s crystal-clear waters are a haven for marine life. The water is so clean and blue that even a few metres away from the shore, one can go snorkelling and experience the beauty of marine life. We booked snorkelling at Gili T, which took us to four different locations to snorkel with turtles, coral, reefs, dolphins and some statues under the water. The thrill of cruising in the sea when the tide was high, was a different level of adrenaline rush. Make sure to experience the water adventure in Bali, especially in the Gili Islands.
2. ATV Ride
We wanted to experience all that Ubud had to offer and we were craving some adventure on land after roaming around all the touristy places and taking those Instagram-able pictures. An ATV ride turned out to be another amazing and fun-filled experience with Bali ATV ride in Ubud. The experience of driving through Bali’s rugged terrain was what we enjoyed. We started with a bunch of other riders, and the ride began through a beautiful landscape. and then we cruised through the rice paddies, waterfalls, and dense forest and passed through Balinese traditional villages. This activity offered us a unique perspective of Bali’s countryside and was a perfect, thrilling experience that we were able to explore. The funny part was that we were all drenched riding the ATV under the waterfalls and had to stop for a snack break amid the jungle. Some of the ATV rides also provide the experience of going through the local markets and hidden temples, providing a cultural experience that feels like a temple run game in real life.
3. Cliff Jumping
With the most breathtaking waterfalls and luminous rivers, cliff jumping becomes one of the must-do activities. The Crystal-clear lagoons and the fascinating cliffs make a good spot for cliff jumping. Some of the wonderful locations to enjoy cliff jumping in Bali are places like Nusa Ceningan and Aling-Aling waterfalls, there are many others with various heights to jump from and take that deep plunge beneath the water. The experience of cliff jumping is thrilling, but one must consider safety, so ensure to experience this thriller with a reputable guide who knows things better and makes your experience memorable.
4. Natural Water Slide at Aling-Aling Waterfall
There are many beautiful cataracts and cascades, but if you want to have a unique and fun adventure, make sure to visit the Aling-Aling Waterfall, where you can take a roller-coaster slide down a natural rock before ending up in the refreshing pool. The waterfall has carved the sliding path in such a beautiful way that while sliding down the falls, you do not feel any sort of trouble; indeed, it becomes more enjoyable. This waterfall is known for its slide and cliff jumping. If you are making your way to visit waterfalls in Bali, do not miss out on this adventure. The way to these falls has good hiking and allows you to experience the lush green forest.
5. Trekking
Bali’s diverse landscapes make it an ideal destination for trekking. One of the most popular treks is the hike up Mount Batur, an active volcano that offers stunning sunrise views over the island. The trek is relatively moderate and can be completed in a few hours, making it accessible for most fitness levels. Other trekking options include exploring the rice terraces of Tegalalang and Jatiluwih, which are UNESCO World Heritage sites, and offering a glimpse into Bali’s agricultural heritage. These treks provide not only physical exercise but also a deep connection with Bali’s natural and cultural beauty.
Conclusion
Bali has all sorts of adventures, and all the different forms of adventure give a different level of thrill. Make sure to take the necessary precautions and safety measures so that the trip becomes a memory forever, whether you are diving in the ocean to snorkel, diving into the depths of the ocean to explore marine life through scuba, or embarking on a land adventure like an ATV.
